    Hello,

I would like to add 3D elements into a video. For that, I want to use C4D tracking. However, when I try to apply manual tracking to my video, the tracker turns red and doesn't follow the movement as expected.

I did some research, and this might be due to the floor reflections. I would like to know if there is a solution for this. Should I print paper trackers and place them on the floor so that the tracking can recognize the perspective?

    I’m attaching the video.

    Thank you! šŸ™‚

I also watched 15 tutorials on YouTube, but none of them helped... so if you have one, I would be happy to check it out šŸ™‚

        Hi piece-quality,

        Here is your file back

Please let me know how close this is to being useful for you.

Was there stabilization enabled in the camera?

No lensgrid, which I prefer. Tracking is based on the speed of the tracking features in the footage. This speed changes locally when lenses have distortions. (Barrel, Cushion, or Mustache). If the speed is different, the triangulation process is disturbed.

Typically, the closest tracking points to the camera are the best if there is enough parallax. If so, a little polarization filter might help get the reflections tamed, if set up accordingly.

My tips about tracker evaluations are here:

P.S.: As a side note, this is a very simple "set", which means you might have an easier life with camera projection.

Use a Polarization filter here as well (reflections in Camaer projection images destroy the effect), while you get the reflections later with your objects included.
