      Hi

Possibly a basic question, but cannot figure out to do this.
I want to create a track with banked corners. Like shown to the right on this image 22d3c655-540c-4a1a-8cbc-e88f42d65350-image.png

Is there a way of doing this?

I have tried a normal sweep which has a banking tick box, but this works differently?

      Thank you,

      Rolf

        Hi Rolf,

This is done with a Rail Spline. The Rail Spline is a second spline that provides a "target" along its length in relation to the main spline.

I have switched off the Sweep, so you can see the splines first. (Press play if it doesn't "run".)

Typically the next question is, how to run "cars" along the racetrack. A simple version is added to the scene. Often, that is not enough, and a three-point setup is needed.
Let me know what you need; perhaps share a simplified project file. So I can make sure that it works.

Since the angle of the track is dependent on the speed, if this is intended to balance the forces, there is no automated function. But if you take the "matching" points of the spline, you might get a "ratio" established that follows a specific "speed" - force vector parallelogram (XPresso).

        All the best
