      Hello!

I made an object, that is part of a large structure, using booleans. Textures are not aligned correctly due multiple cuts with booleans, I guess. Is there an option to convert the object to show textures as a cube? I mean all aligned? See scene. ThanksAlignTexturesBooleanObject01.c4d

        Hi Capprim,

        Thanks for the file.

The typical way is to set the UVs in the way you like.
        For example, with your file
        CV4_2025_drs_24_TXuv_01.c4d

I had temporarily aligned the Workplane based on a few points, then used a Flat Projection, aligned it, and used the "Assign to UVW Coordinates" in the Object Manager> Tags … to get UVs written.

Wood is typically not a Cubic or Redshift's Triplanar option, but if you would like to use it, I would adjust the Axis to align with the Model to make that easier.

Here is a series that might help:

        All the best

Hello! I'm modelling in C4D but the project is a game (kind of Riven) in Unreal. So texturing and everything else is there. By the way, how easy will be to make games in C4D. Wish Maxon expand into game engine! The tutorial looks good! Thanks a lot!

            Hi Capprim,

Was the result to your liking, or do you need some changes? To prep a model with good UVs is typically a good idea.

What will happen in the future is nothing I can discuss here. This is a general direction. Telling something will not happen will allow for some deduction. So, I never comment on anything. Thanks for understanding.

Hi! This one looks fine in Unreal! I think need to learn well the alignment of UVs after modelling with booleans. I'll watch the tutorial. Thanks!

                Thanks for the reply, Capprim,

Have you explored the Boolean in 2025.1.?
It should work better with UV and Textures.

While there is always something that might overlap, etc.

A good command over the UV workflow is a good thing to have.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

                Cheers
