Redshift Shader Graph
-
Hi,
I've been following a tutorial on blending shader materials using fields in vertex maps. I'm currently using Cinema 4D 2024, but I've encountered a few issues.
The instructor suggests adding a Redshift material to the object and then accessing the "Redshift Shader Graph" via the Attributes panel. However, in my version, the "Redshift Shader Graph" option is not available; instead, I only see the "Node Editor."
When I open the "Redshift Shader Graph" from the Redshift dropdown menu, there is no work space available - not sure how to add a screenshot. Additionally, the Cinema 4D Vertex Map doesn't seem to be available in the utilities within the Node Editor.
Could you help me understand why this might be happening?
Thanks!!

Hi ordinary-week,
Double-click on the material Manager> material icon should always open the "Shader-Editor.
There are two types available: one you get while creating a new material based on the Preferences> Renderer> Redshift> Global> Node Materials for Preset.
Double-click on the two materials in the scene to see the difference.

Render to see the effect. The nodes that look like XPresso nodes are older and differ a little bit, There might be a time when they get retired; the other ones are newer and miss a few little options.
If you like to attach a screenshot, please max height 500 pixels, but if possible, save your time and share the project file; images often do not tell a lot. Project files often do better.
Sorry for the long instructions below:
If the file (c4d no zip) is below 1MB, then it can be attached directly here. Always reduce files to the problem, no 3rd party plug ins.
(If larger, I open only Dropbox, Google, Wetransfer, Apple, or Adobe cloud files, for security reasons, no zip, no Tiny URL, and no hidden HTML links, etc. Images please via the same services.)Happy New Year
