Hi 🙂 I have a lego project on Cinema4D with a lot of identical object. I would like replace all identicals objets by intances. Can select objets by the points number? for exemple i would like to select all objects with 152 points. Is it possible?

    Thanks !

      Hi Pitchi,

Not by default. That would be a question for a plug-in developer. Developer Forum, perhaps.
      https://developers.maxon.net/forum/
This forum here is code-free for security reasons.

The simplest way is to have an XPresso check the point count and then rename the object. This would make them search and selectable.

Since I have no idea how the Objects are placed in the scene, the following might not work if they are in a Hierarchy

When the whole scene is under a Null, and the Null has the XPresso, you can use "Copy Tag to Children".
Please select all the objects with that name and place them under a Fracture Object
That Fracture Object delivers then all the PSR to a Cloner (Mode> Object) when set to Axis mode for the Clones.
The Clone would then be your Instance.
      Then make the Cloner editable

Explore this only on a copy of your scene, as I do not know what the setup looks like.

      All the best

          Thank you very much, Pitchi.

I can see that this is a very useful option, and perhaps there is one who can "see" the code for it instantly.

The option is also to submit this directly to Maxon as an idea. "Share Your Idea"

I wish you success with your idea.

As usual: If you like, I can send it as well as suggestions. More voices, more chances.

          Cheers
