Trying achieve this effect using a glass material

I’ve been reviewing the recent work on the new B07 trailer, and I’m currently looking into the glass effect shown in the attached screenshots. From what I understand, the base is a glass material with several key adjustments, particularly IOR, Anisotropy, and Anisotropy Rotation.
I'd be great to read thoughts on the best way to enhance the image distortion through this material—especially the deformation that occurs along the Y axis. -

Perhaps having a cylinder in the mix (Cloner>Child) with a 1.5 cm radius, might help.I have animated perhaps too much. Add this example to the folder above
