Mixing 3 Uvs Material in one object
-
Hello Sassi
i hope you are good, i have a problem i cant fix with my fawn again but this time with creating the material i know this is not a good pipeline to create a good material its just a workaround, i make 2 camera projection for the fawn one from side its look good from side but when rotate around the object ofcourse it has a problem so i make a second camera projection from the front , the problem now that i cant mix the too materials in one normal ppr material so i can bake it i know it cant be merged togheret unless i masked the parts i need from the face view to mix it with the side image so i try to paint a white black quick mask on the fawn original uv object in the scene, i hope hope it can be a way to do that i know its studpid way not the best way but i was thinking, i waste one and half day on that and no way when i try using in material the layer and using one object that has the 3 uv at the same time its not working https://thurse1-my.sharepoint.com/:u:/g/personal/210429_office365works_net/EUB1sf6SdT5CjZO3OclxFQ8BMJyhQHtxdE4V8qm80xenEw?e=wnGfLI -
Hi Leah sam,
I'm not familiar with your cloud service. The one I use here is Dropbox, WeTransfer, Google, Adobe, or Apple, no compression during upload, no zip, and surely not rar. Please paste the URL as you did, so it is clear what it is (Tiny URLs, shortened do not unveil the target. Sorry for the security, while I'm sure you have good experience with this MS service, I am limited to these, and can't explore each time if there is any problem. Thanks for understanding. Sorry for the extra work.
Camera mapping, as you know, has a limited "field of view/projection angle to polygon" to work well. If possible, I use Polygon Selections to split different views. With a few exceptions, I was normally able to convert the Camera project's defined UVs into UVs themselves. (I'm happy to showcase this for you, preferably with your project) With Polygon Selections and those fixed UVs, baking is typically possible.
Sometimes, Alpha channels are used for difficult transitions from one camera to the next camera. Which might cause different setup problems (in the transition area were the alpha is neither white nor black, meaning gray), but it depends.
I will have a look when I get your file.
All the best
