Ocean Spray
-
Hi again Dr Sassi,
Following on from my previous problem, Im trying to create a turbulent ocean with the fluid system and particles.
I've made a black and white mask with a color mapper from the velocity of the water, but I cant figure out how to generate a new set of particles from the velocity of another particle group (specifically the remapped values from the Color Mapper).
Ive tried the data mapper and reproduce, and all the other emitters, but I can figure out how to drive another set of particles from the white points in the color map.
Any idea what tool I should use to do this, or if this is even the best way to make realistic looking Ocean foam (I guess I'll do a lot in the shader as well)
Here's my attempt so far: https://we.tl/t-MZAAYIRACy
Thanks again!

Hi MaverickMongoose,
Thank you very much for the file and for using WeTransfer
No idea at the moment about the white surface.
Please have a look here:
The condition to (re-) produce new particles is based on the Velocity Y.
I have marked all new items with a pale blue color chip (Layers)
Let me know if that fits your target.
Enjoy
P.S.: here is a little bit more dramatic colorization, and particle amount to demo it.

Great, thank you, MaverickMongoose, for your reply!
I'm glad this works for your project!
Enjoy!
