Why does the loop cut tool go at an angle here? I just want it parallel. Is the only option the Plane Cut restricted to a selection?

        Hi smckenzie,

The Loop Cut uses both or one side that are in the direction of the cut, following the Loop. The key in my understanding is the Loop of the Model. whereby you can get the biased average or just one side. If you need a straight cut, then the Plain Cut is the way to go.

        All the best
