I have a spline that I've pulled from an old 3DS Max scene, it represents a stair case. The original object had a lot of non-planar polygons, so I pulled a splined to extrude it to make a new version.

Issue is many of the vertex's aren't aligned correctly. Apart from manually aligning them via the Structure manager, is there a quicker way of achieving this?

        Hi smckenzie,

Please have a look at the file below:

I have created two options to create the wanted geometry.

Cinema 4D has no functionality to create from a single closed Spline object geometry as requested.

In the file, I have used the short CSTO, which I use in files to indicate that I have used the Object Manger> Object> Current State to Object.

        All the best

The FFD option is great, thanks again!

Thanks a lot, smckenzie, for the feedback. 🙂

I also like that you open for each subject a new forum thread; very much appreciated!

Let me know if there is anything else. I'm happy to look into it.

            Cheers.
