Hi there, do you know if there's a way to stick a texture to a parametric object that is being deformed by a Cloth Sim?

I can get it working by projecting the image and Generating UV Coordinants, but this only works on an editable mesh.

I also tried using a Stick Texture but again this only seems to work on an editable mesh.

Ive attached a project file showing the layered textures with dynamics.

Let me know what you think, cheers! Texture Problem.7z

          Hi MaverickMongoose,

Sorry that the files are very limited in space. Besides, "c4d" and "jpg" and "png" (max height 500px) should work.

I'm not clear what mab.to is, never heard about it.
Since I keep it tight, I hope I do not upset you. Sorry if. That was not my intention.
I have often mentioned for security reasons; I do not touch anything but Dropbox, Google, Apple, Adobe, or Wetransfer.

Again, sorry for the extra work. I just had my cyber security training, and that made me even more neurotic.

          Cheers

Thanks for the extra work, MaverickMongoose

I tried different options, but nothing sticks.

The Stick Texture Tag is, by default, only for Polygons.

I tried the Surface and Correction Deformer and the RS UV Projection Tag. Just in case anything has changed. No luck.

Is there a reason why you need to stick with a Parametrically object?

              Cheers

No worries, its just handy to have parametric objects so you can easily subdivide if needed, I guess I'll just bake things to poly when Im ready to do the materials, thanks Sassi

                  Thanks for the reply, MaverickMongoose,

Typically I would ask to send a feature request in. But as with anything that can change, like the parameters of a "Primitive Object", that is difficult to define.
The only hope is that our UV (gradient) map in one material system will find its way to Red Shift one day.

                  All the best
