I'm trying to texture this tube with a gradient that goes from red in the inner radius to white on the outer radius. I'd like it to run down the length of the tube, so the hole of the tube is completely red, while the outer surface is completely white.

Is there any way to apply my material by volume? I've tried all the different projection methods and none give me the result I want, plus they all create seems.

        Hi miss-bear,

You haven't specified what render engine you like to use.

Here is an example (left_lower) for the Standard Render, while using an RS Ramp in Redshift requires some UV work (right lower).

I have two options in the top row using Vertex-based setups, manually weighted or via Field, both Redshift 3D.

I hope one will work for you.
