      Hi

I have clones animating in a volume mesher. Ive added the material to the volume mesher but the material isn't sticking , it looks like its moving and the projections is wrong. How do I fix this?

        Hi wheel-city,

The geometry of the Volume Mesher has no UV, as it is created for each frame newly to adapt to the animation you mentioned.
The surface will change, and that would cause stretching of the texture. You can get some color on those with Vertex maps and fields (or use the objects) while the fields are connected to the underlying geometry.

This might have some limitations. So please test this before using it in production.

            You're very welcome, wheel-city.

If you are in explorer mode, perhaps have a look here.

I have transferred the Color to the Vertices. From there to a MoGraph Matrix Object. This, in return, allowed me to place the data into a Color Vertex Tag for the Volume Mesher.

It depends highly on the point density of the Object used to feed the Volume. In the example I kept it kind of low.

            All the best
