Based on your post above, the top and bottom parts (while I have no model here) might need to have an edge selection along the line I have drawn in the image.

This edge selection might be along the edge of the mold. For this object, the mold was split into two main parts. With no details in the texture, the bottom part can be scaled smaller to have enough room for the detailed top part. Online viewing works best when the data is small.

With this edge loop, the relaxing options are better suited to work towards the model's needs. Some pins help keep it from distorting too much.

There are two options in the Relax UV process:
LSCM (Least Squares Conformal Maps) or ABS (Angle Based Flattening)

Which one of the two to choose? After each iteration, I would take a UV checkerboard image and see how it looks (How to do that is in the link below. The key to the textured area should be a projection that produces an equal texture on any part, which is often not 100% possible.

Think of wrapping an orange with a single piece of paper. Yes, that is pretty much the work of two thousand years trying to unwrap the earth to a flat map. I have a book filled with attempts to do that (Flattening the Earth, by John P. Snyder). I share that, as it often feels frustrating not to get a perfect result, this book shows that there are limits to this game.

The bottom part, so far I understand it, needs no relaxed procedure; it could be unwrapped in any way and scaled-down, which means focusing on the top part and evaluating based on a checkerboard pattern

Of course, no problem. My hope is always that exploration leads to a better long-term memory of the findings 😉 But I'm happy to share whatever is needed and wanted.

The main problem is that clones have a single channel for colors, not two or more.
Your request is a two-channel effect. Hence, we need a way to share the two independent pieces of information with the Material.

Image information can be used to blend between two Cloner child objects. That works on an object level but not on the attached node-based Material.
The process is simple. The Cloner child objects (Clones) can blend where they have matching parameters, which can be UserData (e.g., a single channel, e.g., Color is not blended).
This means an Effector or field can share information (Modify Clone). The example file below shows a plain Effector. Parameter> Others: Modify Clone. Use the slider to see the effect.

Since the second channel is gray-values 0-1, that can be done with a single User Data entry.

This can also be done with User Data. Compare the file from above (v3). One User Data is 0%, and the other is 100%. The Modify Clone results in a 0-100% value, which is equal to the value of the Modify Clone.

The Modify Clone can be driven by a Texture (e.g., Shader Effector or Shader Field in an Effector [like Plain Effector])

So we can move the information along, and the user data Node can read it. The key here is that both User Data entries need to be the same, name-wise.

Inside the Material, the single channel for gray values from the UserData can be requested via Scalar user Data. Click on the node, and the parameter tab will allow you to enter the user Data's name.

The other Colordata (RGB) is done similarly, with a User Data node set to MoGraph> Color.

The two are connected in a Color Correction Node, and the Gravalues "run" the Saturation values.

As mentioned above, the Shader Effector and Shader Field provide a single RGB value to each Clone. A common misconception is that the Shader Effector would texture "Images" to the clones. In fact, just one Color is given for the whole.

Please let me know if that works for you. Yes, it is a wild mix of many little techniques, so please ask if something is not clear.

Instead of typing the Offset manually, the Cloner could do that with a Blend setting. Linear and simple. Then use an Inheritance Effector/Matrix to position the Clones.
The other file uses UserData Integer to drive a Shader Switch; I used the Blend option again. (The Cubes have User Data)

Workflow, perhaps Workaround
Not a default option; I will go into detail later about it. This is a typical CAAD feature where the main modeling is static. The opposite would be a character and animation.
How to get this done anyway?
Ideally, textures are '2 to the power of X", as in 2048 pixels. If this square has a specific actual work size (not a pixel-to-cm or inch ratio!), just what a tile would measure, then do this:

Create a cube in the size of the tile. Place the texture on it while you stay in Attribute Manager> Material Tag> Tag> Projection: Cube mode. The Cube mode should fit the Object's size. Either use Object Manager> Tags> Fit To Object.
Yes, one could scale the cube and scale the texture if needed.

The cube that serves as measurement or reference can be set to invisible, which requires the child object to be set to visible.
Any child object below will now take this projection. This works, of course, only for any parallel surface in alignment with the cube. 45º walls need their own material.
Round or even spherical objects are more complex, whereby I have no simple solution for spherical objects and tiles.

Some notes, as mentioned above
There is no native option in Cinema 4D, to my knowledge, nor in Redshift 3D.
If there were one, then any Object scaling would leave the texture in the non-scaled size. That sounds like a nightmare.
Think of a bend deformer to have real-world sizes; how would that go? I doubt any application can offer that real-world measurement for organic surfaces as a nondistorted solution.

Archicad, for example, has that real-world texture mode and a connection to Cinema 4D (Same company: Nemetschek)

Why is it 1?
Textures typically work with UV. The UV space is normalized, hence the size one. So you place an image there with 1024 pixels wide. Set up your scene, then a change is needed, and the texture comes in 2048 pixels wide. With the normalization, that is not a problem; it will sit as before.

Perhaps a mixed version (Not solved as your headline asked for it in RS alone): where the tiles are produced in the Material Tag settings. So, for each object with a new Material Tag, you must set this up tiles again (if you don't copy it). This is the lowest stress in the nodes for a layered result, while you get your large repetition anyway. It is fast.

I have transferred the Color to the Vertices. From there to a MoGraph Matrix Object. This, in return, allowed me to place the data into a Color Vertex Tag for the Volume Mesher.

It depends highly on the point density of the Object used to feed the Volume. In the example I kept it kind of low.

This is typically done with UV mapping.

Each polygon has a representation in this UV mesh. Each UV polygon can be seen as a frame of a certain area of the texture. The texture is placed on a normalized space, so if you exchange the image's resolution (higher or lower), the result will look the same, besides more sharp or blurry based on the resolution.
