Spline Wrap to Object?
-
New C4D user here - I'm guessing there's an easy solution to this but haven't found any info searching online. I have a rigged snake model (from Turbosquid) which I've applied a subdivision surface and spline wrap to (no animation, just a still pose). Given time constraints on this project, I want to export it (as fbx, etc.) to another 3D program I'm more familiar with and render there. Is there a way to export the new geometry (with subdivision and spline wrap applied)?

Hi divide-load,
Images do not tell me a lot, certainly not anything about the target app, going by two Cinema4D screenshots. Sorry.
FBX is an old format; it has no concept of a Spline Warp Deformer.
It can hold some "information" if a "Sub Division Surface" was used, but whatever was set up or is expected to be received is also based on the app that opens the file. Consider baking or leaving SDS off and use and apply it either in your target app or target renderer.
Even if it opens and uses any kind of SDS, it might have a different "math" inside.
The joints should work fine.
Perhaps explore your target app and what it can receive, and explore from there.
All the best

Thank you for the help! After exploring more options, putting everything under a Connect object and making it editable gave me what I needed. I was getting a messy result until I removed the snake's pose morph tag.

You're very welcome, divide-load.
I'm glad you got it working for your pipeline.
My best wishes for your project.
