    Hi Sassi,

I'm trying to have some text transitioning to cloth with concepts from this Eyedesn tutorial.

This technique calls for the geometry to be made editable so a BELT TAG can be used to lock the points before the transition.

However I have a lot of different text to apply the effect to and was wondering if there was a way to set this up while keeping the text fully procedural so I could simply swap out the text for each word I need to render (rather than making several different setups with baked meshes).

Here's a wetransfer link to my project file with both setups (the procedural setup doesnt work).

    Looking forward to you're reply!

      Hi MaverickMongoose,

Please have a look here: Not the same, but it allows for change, (press play to see the change from X to M to 5!)

The text can be exchanged, even animated, but it needs that workaround.
If the size changes too much, you might have another setup.

The simple idea is to have an editable file that does what you want but works as a Mesh-Deformer.

Important: the Mesh Deformer must have its "Auto Init" checked.
The setup above is quick; you might allow for more motion.

      Cheers

Thanks Sassi, another very interesting setup that I never would have thought of! Cool idea!

For this project I found another solution using Mix Animation instead to activate and deactivate the cloth.

        Cheers
