I have a rigging question, is there a was to keep the controllers of hand an feet locked to the hand and feet.
When I rotate the back of the character the hand an feet stay in position.
Ik understand that the are on the end of the chain, but is there a way to lock them??
Ik new to rigging so ......

          Hi second-prior,

I have moved your post, as I don't want to delete it, even if it is a copy. But I can do it if you like.

I suggest placing a constraint tag on the Controller to answer your questions. In the example below, I did it with the "Left".

In this way, you can define with the Null "Left hand->Constraint_LeftHand" where the left hand will be but also have the option to just set the strength to zero and have no influence.

If you need more of those fixed contact points, just add another constraint, which provides for each a slider to define the influence.

If you have a c4d file, I'm happy to take a look into it.

          All the best

              Hi second-prior,

              You're very welcome. 🙂

This was not a big deal at all, and I don't mind the little "housekeeping". I try to keep things easy to find for the forum's visitors, and everyone deserves as many Q&A threads as needed.

If you have any questions about your own IK rig, please never hesitate to ask.

              Have a great weekend.
