        Hi me again...
        imagine a zylinder r = 100 , hight = 5
now I want do bend it like a membrane (border does not move)... how to do this?
I tried it with a half sphere, animating G(y)... but this does not work well, because when thickness = 0, particles pass through...
I need a cylinder with some thickness... can you help me again? Thank's Henri

          Hi Henri,

Please no new question/themes in an existing forum's thread. Thank you. That helps to keep things searchable. 🙂

          Here is an example:
          CV4_2024_drs_24_MOmb_01.c4d

The shape is based on the Remapping> Contour

Let me know if that works for you.

          All the best

                rehello
perfect solution! The capacity is represented by the membrane (her tension is the voltage in my model)
now I will animate the cylinder filed 0... 100 %
please tell me what is the best way to bend in opposite direction ?
ufff... i am such a beginner...
Sorry animate the cylinder filed in the Displacer

Hi again... need your help 😞
I used your membrane (03)... perfect... for new orientation, I did put all in a null and rotated it... all good... worked.
Then I pressed something in c4d, and now all my files do not work anymore. For the vertical membrane, the membrane center moves up and down... if I rotate the main null (membrane horizonaly)it works fine again.
I did not find out, what setting in c4d makes this mismatch... 😞
Please give me a hint 🙂

                              1000 grazie! Works!
How is it possible, that it worked before... and suddenly in all files direction was on vertex normal ?
                              Have a nice day
                              Henri

Great, and thanks, Henri, for the feedback.

Vertex Normal. That is the default. If I had known that you like to rotate those, I would have pointed it out.

                                All the best

                                  Hi again
this night I woke up and knew what was the problem... I updated to latest version of c4d!
In the old version you could put the membrane in a nul and rotate this... still worked fine (with vertex normal default)...
                                  This changed in last version.
                                  @U

                                    Hi Henri,

I had no idea you were in an older version of this project; that explains it – I assume, as I have no idea in which version you were, even now.

I typically assume the current version is used, and yes, I should have asked for an example file, which allows me to see all that information.

                                    Thanks for solving that mystery.

                                    Cheers
