    Hello C4d Family,

I'm editing within the Texture UV editor. I'm wondering, is there a way for me to use the scuplting tools / commands within the UV editor? Tools like Iron, Fit Circle, Smooth, would all be useful, but I don't know how to use if it's available.

Another thing - when I use my scale tool, no matter if X Y are active, it always scales on both axis. Any clue on how to only scale on one axis?

    Thank you all!
    C

      Hu Chum,

Please have one topic per post. Thank you. This will help find things for others.

The Sculpting Tools do not affect UVs. Think of the sculpting tools as brushes that paint location information for a point into a map. This map does not exist for UV data. The data for UV is directly stored for each point.

Since I have no data here, are you scaling a Primitive in Model Mode?
Switch to Object Mode. Is this working for you?

      Cheers

        Thanks Doc,

So is there no way to get an absolute circle within the UV editor? Fit Circle is one of the best tools in C4d, would love to use it within the UV Editor:

          Hi Chum,

Thanks for the image, but it gives me very little to understand the idea of having a circle there, as it might result in a very distorted representation of the underlying (Image) content.

Be that as it will, here would be my way of doing it. Not that this is something that is in my muscle memory. But as usual, I don't guess; I try to create it.

          Is that helping?

            Yes!

Okay, I never would have thought of that. Wizzard stuff.

            I'll be submitting my recommendation!
