Hey Dr. Sassi!
Thank you for taking a look at my setup in addition to your insights! I had no idea you could use the Shader Effector in this manner. Very cool stuff!

Hello!
I've been trying (though mostly struggling) to wrap my mind around setting up a generator to create procedural bricks that are then fed into a Cloner wherein each clone has a different seed value applied to a Displacer.
I've got the initial aspects of the rig setup and working great, but only for a single brick. I'd gone down a ChatGPT rabbit hole of Xpresso related questions, only to realize an hour in that it was creating... nonsensical solutions, albeit, some of the solutions sort of worked, but never fully.
Here's a link to my project file in hopes this provides more clarity on the setup, as I've currently created it:

Ty!
Got it sorted! I did indeed mash some combination of keys on my keyboard that toggled on a viewport display setting.
For anyone else that stumbles across this post (though I realize the title of this particular post is not the most self-evident), the solution I found was to go to...
Edit > Preferences > Viewport Display > Object Selection > unchecking 'Wireframe'
While working in C4D 2024, all of sudden whenever I select an object (in object mode) all of the faces become highlighted, regardless of whether or not I'm in 'face' mode.
In 2023, I don't have this issue. Wondering if I accidentally pressed some combination of keys that has enabled a visualization setting? If not, how can I go about reverting back to 'normal' behavior?

The window on the left is 2023, the window on the right is 2024.
Very strange!!
Thank you for the link to Noseman's series on UV unwrapping. I'll definitely consult that series of instruction!
Hey Dr. Sassi,
Thanks for passing that project file over. While it was helpful, sadly it's not the solution I was hoping for.
Let me try a different line of inquiry instead as I think this is actually more of a "How do I unwrap something 'correctly'?" sort of question and not that the UVs, due to scaling, or subsequent unwrapping, causes them to become skewed.
Here's a link to another screen recording: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/5oaxq24r2vn9tpnzd12yq/2024-07-25-18-39-28.mp4?rlkey=0bzqn6go0zt1pkx26g0eh7wmh&dl=0
Additionally, here's the project file from that screen recording: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qhzxk3vqhk2v6x3ih3ydu/BookUV_Cineversity_Sassi.c4d?rlkey=ikcl2u1m1t6z11cgz2ycq40va&dl=0
In this recording I've done the following:
Looking very forward to your thoughts!
Hey there! Not entirely sure how to best phrase my query, but I've noticed (what feels like) strange behavior with the UVW tools?
In previous versions (as best as I can recall), when I would select the seams for edges to be unwrapped (imagine a rectangular label, as an example), Cinema, most of the time, would do a pretty good job of keeping edges straight. However, over the last year or so, I've noticed that this doesn't seem to be the case anymore. For the most part, I've made my peace with it and have done a lot of manual 'fixing', to get edges to be straight.
Currently I'm doing some practice with texturing and modeling with various books from the Asset Library and as I'm resizing some of the books, I've now a need for the UVs to be re-unwrapped so that the square aspect ratio of the texels are maintained.
The issue I'm running into, and not really certain as how to best solve, is that when I re-unwrap one of these assets, the resulting map is skewed.
I've attached a screen recording demonstrating this. I feel like this is something that is very basic that I'm either A) ignorant of, or B) forgetting to do.
Here's a link to the screen recording: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ie7147j7fodndwrzyij5f/2024-07-25-15-58-58.mp4?rlkey=lmm0mb73a4v13q8d8nqnv3s9t&dl=0
Any/all insights are greatly appreciated!
Hey Dr. Sassi!
Thank you (as always) for taking the time to provide your insights. The direction for this project ended up pivoting and now the simulation no longer needs to loop seamlessly.
Hello!
I have a cloth simulation I've exported out from Marvelous Designer that I'd like to texture and light in Cinema 4D. The goal of this simulated garment is to have it loop seamlessly.
I've found a few different methods online that touch on this very thing, but I've not been successful in getting them to work. Two of the three methods utilize the Pose Morph tag and the third uses Motion Clips. I should say rather that I have gotten the Motion Clips route to work though the end result creates a noticeable 'loop seam' where the clips meet.
Here is a link to my garment's exported .abc from Marvelous Designer for anyone who would like to use this to test a solution: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ydl8wbpu4h07qxsu32uuz/ShirtLoop_007b.abc?rlkey=0y6t5a5ua2pj1dja5crr07irn&dl=0
The Pose Morph route seems like the most ideal solution, though the tutorials I've followed along with are able to get it work without issue. I'm confused as to why my attempts have been met with failure.
Here are the tutorials I've used so far:

Hello Dr. Sassi,
Success! Thank you for that. No idea how that setting got toggled on.
You're the best.
Hello,
Two days ago I noticed that whenever I select an object now all of the edges of a given object highlight instead of just the bounding box.
I have no idea how this was toggled on, or if this is some sort of bug...
I've toggled on/off every setting I can think of that corresponds to this display mode but I've not been able to return it to what was previously the 'default'.
Does anyone know how I can reset this? I've included a screenshot of what I currently see.

Weirdly, a co-worker opened my project file and what they see is the 'normal' highlighted bounding box of the same object.
That's strange!
As a point of reference, I'm on a Windows-based machine, also running Cinema 4D 2023 2.1.
I've attached a screen recording, not sure if it's helpful or not, but thought I'd pass along anyway.

Dr. Sassi, as always, thank you.
I am pleased to report, however, that when I selected only the simulation tags of my cloth objects, a Selection Object was created without the need of a null, or other object!
Hello!
I'm working on a scene that has many objects, all with Cloth tags applied.
Is it possible to store a selection of these tags so that I can double click on it, allowing me to select the tags as a group again, instead of having to manual select the tags anytime I want to adjust parameters?
I feel like I saw a tutorial on YouTube covering this very thing recently though, for the life of me, I've not been able to locate it.
Any/all feedback is welcome and appreciated!
