Help with basic Scene Nodes
-
I'm trying to figure out how to do some basic tasks in nodes.
Right away, I'm not sure how to even use the bend node. It's not letting me upload an image here, but I plugged a mesh primitive node into a "transform geometry" node and I plugged in the bend node's "transformation" property into that same transform geometry node.
I get this error on the bend node: "Context member net.maxon.parametrictype.vec<3,float64> net.maxon.neutron.parameter.position/nullptr not found in instantiation data."Can anyone tell me the proper way to connect a bend node?

Hi joel-motion,
There is little material about it available, and I'm sorry about that.
The idea is slowly changing from alpha to (public) beta to kind of released and not, meaning that if one has a coding background, this is the visual programming equivalent. The expectation is that this is the target group for now, as far as I know.
Everything changed every time I started going through courses about it (like the excellent and very long 3-part course package from core4d, which is no longer available). Thisow, I' 'm not diving into this here in the forum, as the value of any answer would have a "half-value" time that is not fun for anyone reading.
CV4 has very little

CV3 (the old version) has a little bit more and a little bit more outdated
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaytut/scene_nodes_-_technology_preview_making_linesSorry, but it might take a while before everything Scene Nodes is ready for "prime time".
All the best

Thank you for the quick reply.
I do look forward to more information coming out on it, but I understand that will take time.
I understand the basics that are shown in the few tutorials out there, but it's definitely tricky to attempt to branch off from there.I'll try to wait patiently in the meantime, haha.

You're very welcome, joel_motion,
I'm not happy about the time it takes. Noseman takes questions during the Ask The Trainer show (YouTube, Maxon Training Team) when it is not a whole project.
