Suppose I have cloned a block into the shape of a lighthouse body. Now I want to cut openings into the result for windows and doors. How would it be best to do this?

    Sample file attached.

    Thanks,
    Greg

      Hi Greg,

      Thanks for the file.

This needs three more elements: stone left, stone right, and no stone (Null).
The Cloner is set to Sort and has a Weight Tag to it.
The Weight tag runs inside the Plain Effector, which is set to Modify Clone.

Depending on the Weight, one of the four is selected and allowed to work like a Bricklayer.

      Cheers

@Dr-Sassi Wow. Super clever! It'll take me a while to understand how you fit the pieces together.
        Cheers and Thanks,
        Greg

          Hi Greg,

          Thanks for the kind reply.

The key is to have a common Axis position here.
The Modified Clone (Plain Effector), and Sort (Cloner), here as an example and more clearly with words.

          Enjoy

Thanks for taking the time, Greg, to explore it.

It is a powerful option with many uses. Here, it is used in a static way, but it can also be interesting for animations.

              Have a nice weekend
