Hello, when I want to bake my animation in Alembic, it disappears, you can look on this file:

        Hi cyrilrueg,

I tested it. While the Subdivision Surface was selected, I went to
        Object Manager> Object> Bake> Bake as Alembic.

        Uncheck the Weld option.

The file I got is 3.18 GB large. (Even when zipped it is nearly 1GB)

The Vertex map animation shows up.

The animation, as far as I can tell, looks the same.

The only thing that didn't arrive was the white material.

Could you try reducing the file to 30 frames and check if that works?

Perhaps the tech support can reproduce it.

Fingers crossed, there is a working solution for you.

        All the best
