    Hello,

Does the dynamic placement tool not work with a floor object? I've been arranging some objects and it has worked as expected, objects not passing through each other but not the floor, they just fall right through it. For now I've just put a simple cube under the floor and that has worked but shouldn't it work with a floor?

    Kind Regards
    David

      Hi David,

I can confirm that it falls right through it.

It is not "really" an object (you can't make it editable, for example, or deform it), and while it is no longer in use in Redshift 3D render setup, I have very little hope that a tech-support request would help here.

You might try it if you don't mind the time:

However, your use of an added object supporting the function is surely a winning strategy.

      All the best

        Hi Dr Sassi,

Aah thanks so much for the confirmation, I thought I was being an idiot 😂 Yes the cube I put underneath worked a treat 👍

        Kind Regards
        David

          Hi David,

Yes, I know that feeling only too well. I try to learn each month a new app or at least a major update. This feeling of running against the wall is a constant. It helps me never to think that my muscle memory is all there is with the things I do often.

Please feel always free to ask, and those feelings will get into the background, at least with one app at a time 😉

          Cheers
