      Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to make objects perfectly rigid with the new Cloth PBD system?

I've tried removing Benidiness and Stretchiness and increasing the Density of the objects but they always seem slightly clothlike and squishy rather than perfectly rigid.

Also tried cranking the substeps way up which tends to stiffen things up, but its still not completely rigid.

Or is the only option to use the old bullet system?

      Thanks for your help!

      Dave

        Hi Dave,

Perfectly rigid, I would use the Bullet System. It has excellent options, even for using low poly dummies.

You get perhaps kind of close with the Soft Bodies and lots of Poles.

Was trying to create a bit of a tricky effect that can only be done with the cloth system, I found a way to get Bullet and Cloth PBD to work together though with Cloth Colliders mixed with Collider Bodies, just thought there might be an easier way.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick Sassi!!

            Thanks for the reply, Dave.

It is not the first time that this interaction between the two systems has been requested. Or a Ridget Option in the Sim system.

Going by history, there is a long list of features that have been connected, and I think it is worth asking for that, as Maxon is listening, and the requests to-do list is undoubtedly influenced by the amount of input Maxon gets.

            Thank you
