Is it possible to use an object with field force so the density emitted from a pyro source takes on the shape of the object? Ive tried some possible techniques with the volume builder, but nothing seems to pull the density to the shape of a specific object. Is this possible or currently beyond the pyro capabilities in cinema 4D?

      Thank you in advance!

        Hi Seun,

The Force Field can set the Velocity of Pyro, which means also set it to zero. This is done in the Force Field> Object Tab.
With the Force Field> Field Tab options, you can define an area and the amount of the "stop" effect.
Similar would be my concern about Attraction or Velocity effects in general, as the first contact defines it.
Here, I'm not clear if your object might have that option, as everything that is stopped earlier will not allow moving to parts of the object at a distance.

The more plausible option is to use a Collider object and have it shaped based on that. Perhaps even with a tube to guide it into place.

To kill the Density might come to mind, but that would look perhaps artificial.

Without a file, this is all Brainstorming. If the file is below 1MB, it can be attached here as a ".c4d" file. If larger, please use only one of the five cloud services: WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google, Apple, or Adobe. Please upload the file uncompressed, and paste the URL fully into the text. Sorry for the long instructions, safety first.

        Enjoy your Sunday

Hi @Dr-Sassi, thank you for the response. I've attached a project file to better illustrate my question. The text spline is the emitter source, and the text in the volume builder is the object I'm trying to shape the emitted density to. For some reason, with my setup, the field force doesn't seem to affect the density/pyro at all.

          Thanks!

            Hi Seun,

            Thanks for the file.

I have explored a few options, but my machine is not that fastest.

With the Volume, one could create a negative form (like a mold) and catch the smoke with it, while using the mold as well as a "kill-box".

            Mold Example:

This is similar to the Destructor Box, while the way above allows an object.

I will have a in the morning longer look into it.

As a side note, perhaps worth watching as well:
