      @whereas-stuff I started this thread in oct 2024 -- I'd had the issue for I think like 6 months prior. Much more than 2 years have passed, and despite the fact I've given this company thousands of dollars, an extremely and critically important UI feature still remains unresolved.

      I've given up expecting a solution -- I have been using Anchorpoint instead, which was suggested by another user in this thread. It's not super pleasant, but it kinda gets you there 40% of the way.

        It's a shame that such a large company doesn't consider its customers who pay many thousands of dollars. It also makes a clear distinction between Windows customers and Mac customers. Obviously it's based on the fact that, they don't run away to go to the blender. Great shame, 2 years now.

            hi , I try anchor but I can't find all the files in external drives , maybe is something I am doing wrong.

            I figure out another solution, I install an VM on parallels with Sonoma , just instal a R25 without licensing it, and I can see from there the thumbnails when I need.

            any way from the answer from technical support I don't see any solution from Maxon soon. maybe they need group lawsuit from the Mac users 😛 for discrimination because we pay the same amount of money with windows users

              @bike-disaster this is the same answer I keep getting for months (years even) since I first posted that bug - and then tickets get closed as resolved, what an absolute joke. It's certainly one way to get your support tickets done...
              Funny thought I had a few days ago: just imagine if we still had the good old perpetual license system and this bug would have been existing for more than one version upgrade 👛

                @Tisi For the past 5 years I've never seen such a bugged software.
                I quit the app "normaly" once every ten time. All the other times, it's crashing or I have to force quitting.
                No update, no bug fixes (don't waste time to create ticket, they close without solving - the customer service must be proud to have so few tickets unresolved :).
                In a way, we can feel the "Adobe Vibe" of McGavran : Subscribe for garbage - Shareholders must be happy.

                I bought every version from 8 to 19. It was swiss clocks. Never crash.
                Now even the simplest of the simplest projects crash. Even the Bug report window crash.
                Guys, you turned gold in sh...

                        Hi everyone, while you can continue the discussion here, please note that nobody from Maxon Support is reading this forum.
                        It's intended for Help on projects and setups and not tech support.
                        Please use the "Report Bug/idea" from the Help menu inside C4D or contact support again. The more people reporting something, the higher the chance of a fix... if possible.

                          Not sure.
                          Complaining here gave me once in a lifetime a bug fix after 2-3 years complaining.
                          Never got any bug fix from the bug report. Only one answer : "It's because Apple changed something in the OS. We work with them to improve. I flag your request as solved (even if it's not)".... And your problem will remain never solved for eternity.
                          It's hard to know where it's more usefull to complain as they never care either we complain here or via the bug support.

                            The color picker not working is also not solved for 2 years at least. "Because of apple..."
                            Freelance developpers managed to make it work, but for Maxon it's heavy!!!

                                  hey, just wanted to let you know that finally I was able to solve the thumbs for me in two hours vibecoding with codex.
                                  I'll check if I can provide a test version without apple signing problems (I am not a developer) and let you know... maybe @maxon just try to let Codex fix your software if it isn't already at work.

                                  @noseman at this point a statement like this really really makes people angry, we have been issuing bug reports, even pointing to the exact problem without Maxon doing sh*t except closing the bug reports - it's really a sad joke.
                                  If you missed it read McGavrans quote I posted earlier and have a big laugh.
