      Hello!

I'm trying to cut a circle into segments. I make a circle, make it editable, add 4 points for example, but if I use the Spline/break segment; there is a new segment detached but the circle remains below. How can I do that? I mean, divide the circle into several independent splines?
      Thanks!
P.D.: Can't attach an image as there is a constant message "Error image too large!" for a 400kb jpeg

        Hi tell-inside,

Cut where you need new points.

Select the start and end points that define the new "Segment".
        Use the Spline> Modify> Clone> Disconnect command.

This is now a multi-segment Spline
        Use the Spline> Modify> Segments> Explode Segments.
This will result in a Spline Group, whereby the parent is an empty Spline.

(Images can't be higher than 500 pixels. Sorry)

        All the best

            @Dr-Sassi Hello Dr.Sassi!

Sorry but the problem remains; there is a new section separated, but points in the circle remain united below with a spline. I mean I have a new disconnected spline, and the cut points have a new spline, not a hole. I'm trying to upload an image. Reduce it to 40 kbs but always says image is too large. If I can't show you the problem, it's going to be hard to explain.

              Hi Javier,

Do you have the Close Spline check box on?

Without a project file with the exact problem, I do not know what else to do.

Please attach the file here as a ".c4d" file.

If it is larger than 1MB, please send it only via Dropbox, Google, Apple, Adobe, or Wetransfer. Anything else will be ignored for security reasons. Thanks for understanding.
If you have only a single Spline in the file, it should be below 1MB.

A file usually tells me the whole story, while images often contain little information to solve the problem accurately.
Here, I recreated it instead of asking for the file, as I also do not just answer from memory. Things might have changed. Hence, I check things carefully.

I will have a look in the morning into it. (West-Coast [CA] time here.)

                Hello Dr.Sassi!

I did it correctly! It was an error with the order of things and mixing Cloning with Break segments in Spline tools. Your video made it clear! Thanks a lot!
