        Hi Dutchbird,

There is no procedure that I know is suggested.
My understanding and typical procedure is to set things up fresh.

Before a new version comes out, I have surely installed a lot of pre-versions. I have my (manual!) routine to get what I want (setting up each fresh from "scratch", but yes, I have reduced my customization to nearly nothing. So, I'm not a great supporter of this question here.

Since this theme comes up every year, I typically suggested in the past to write to Maxon directly – "Share Your Ideas".

However, I personally have not seen a lot of suggestions/requests.
Perhaps we can get this time enough people interest to do it.

Sorry, not the reply I enjoy doing.

        All the best

@Dr-Sassi Thanks. I did it by hand, the old way.
Just opened the two versions side by side.

Only one thing doesn't work out. My old shortcuts don't load.
I copied them from the R2025 prefs folder but aren't visible in R2026.

            Thank you, Dutchbird,

There is a vast number of things that can be customized directly or in cobination, and I'm not aware what will survive and what not. How stable the app is after loading old files in, I can't tell.
I hope you have no problems.

            My best wishes
