      Hello,

I try to make a simple 360° spinning with music.

So I did a plain with a sound effect inside.

A cloner with my mesh inside and the effector sound.

I got a tiny rotation but it bounce back. Do you know how I can do a linear 360° continuous rotation without bouncing back ?

      Thanks in advance
      Best regards,

ps / I Cant modify the subject ...

        Hi stretch-equal,

Any reason to post in the Site Issue forum instead of the Q&A Forum?
Please let me know. I will move this question soon the Q&A Forum.
Anyway, since you are in a different time zone, I will wait.

        Please have a look here:

        CV4_2023_drs_23_MGge_01.c4d

I have not shared an audio file, and I assume you have one.

The idea is pretty simple; the Freeze layer can update the values per frame.
So I have set the Sound layer to add a very small value. So it adds each beat a little bit to the overall result for individual Clones.
(instead of that small value, disable the Value Clamping to be able to work with values above 100%)

Since the value is small, the parameter for rotation needs to be larger. For demo reasons, I have added a P.Y. option, as rotation alone can be misleading. Please shut the P.R. in the Plain Effector off after you have explored the setup to get only rotation.

IF you need something smoother, place a Delay over the Sound, set to Smooth.

The Subject line should read. MoGraph, Progressive rotation via Sound? Would that fit your question? If so, I can change it.

        My best wishes

          Hello,

          Thanks you a lot !
You just solve an incredible effect for a monumental art project.

If I want to use it with 4 lights it's same configuration ?

          Best regards,

Idd you can move the post to the right section, a mistake from me.

            Hi stretch-equal,

Thanks for the feedback, and now I'm curious about the project. 🙂

Here is the file with four lights.

            CV4_2023_drs_23_MGge_11.c4d

I have set two child objects under the Cloner just to illustrate options.
Also, in the middle of the timeline, I have set the Sound layer to subtract, just in case that might be useful.

My best wishes for your project.
