Cloth stretching
-
Hello
I'm having an issue I often used to have with the old cloth engine, which I thought would not happen with the new one (first time I'm using it in a long time).
I'm trying to create a movement of a fabric like a flag, and every time I try to run it, the cloth always looks like it is stretching.
I just want it to stay the same length but deform with turbulence.See project file and image below, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi AlexC,
Thanks for the file. Yes, the Flag should get shorter based on the deformations.
Please have a look here:

In the file from above, it is set to max, which means that the Force value is set to pull on the Flag more and more.
If set up as a mask to the Random Field, you get a different result, and the flag waves and stays pretty much in its size. All the best

Thanks Sassi! That makes sense, and all looks great now
