GOZ Flipped Axis when sending to Zbrush
-
Hi,
I can't get the model orientation to be the same in C4D and Zbrush using GoZ. I noticed that there is an option in the Zbrush preferences, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect.
How can I set this up?Thanks

Hi Ricardo,
I can't tell you why you can't overwrite the settings, but I can suggest what to do manually.
Search for the file "GoZ_info.txt" I assume you find a few; one is for Cinema 4D, and it is in the Cinema 4D folder.
Open it in a Text Editor, set the Y values in the Opposite TRUE vs FALSE
Save it. Restart ZBrush.
I went through this here a few minutes ago, as I typically do not answer from memory.
It works now; I got it upside down (and then changed back as before as it worked for me before). So that might count as a double check even.
Fingers crossed, it will work for you.
Cheers

Hi Dr. Sassi,
Thanks for the heads up!
This is the path for windows users C:\Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZApps\Cinema4D
And the Values look like this:
EXPORT_FLIP_X = FALSE
EXPORT_FLIP_Y = TRUE
EXPORT_FLIP_Z = TRUE
IMPORT_FLIP_X = FALSE
IMPORT_FLIP_Y = TRUE
IMPORT_FLIP_Z = TRUEEverything working fine now. Developers should address this simple change. It doesn't make sense to have it flipped.
Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback, Ricardo!
I will file a report that this needs some attention.
My best wishes for your project
