Hi Dr.Sassi! Today I applied Denoising in the Render settings. One frame took 1 hour! This is impossible to work with. By the way this part is not urgent, don't worry about a quick reply.

Redshift render takes too long?
Hello Dr.Sassi!
I've been using C4D for modelling and UE5 to make a game, and some ocasional animation.
I have been using C4D more than 10 years ago for animations in videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iv-Rz3-s4BM&t=258s)
It's been like 3-4 years I think haven't use it for rendering. Now I'd like to do some animations, learning Redshift. However I find the render times are too long! I have a Macbookpro 16" M2MAX with 64 GB RAM. I'm enclosing you a superbasic scene that Redshift took to render 5 minutes! I can't work like this. Please tell me what the problem may be? Perhaps my computer is not enough powerful? Unreal Engine 5 has a very fast render. Thanks for your help in any case

RE: Booleans?
They are two objects, but must be connected exactly. Thanks again!

RE: Booleans?
Hi! Thanks for your reply! Sorry, I have to explain better! What I'm looking at is a full hole in the CABIN object, as if the TUNNEL object where a solid extrude

Booleans?
Hello Dr.Sassi!
Please take a look at the scene enclosed. I'd like to know how can I make a hole in the CABIN that connects the TUNNEL
Thanks!

I'm one year into this project and sometimes need a break or I'll turn crazy!

Boolean error¿?
Hello Dr.Sassi!
I'm building things for a game project. I found an error with a Boolean that I don't understand, as I have other segments of the same type, with no errors. Please take a look at this scene; I can't use booleans if I use slice to the object 02. However it worked in other objects like that, see 01
Thanks for your helpBooleanError.c4d -
RE: Stairs on circular wall?
Hi Dr.Sassi! Thanks for your solution. Let me ask you; my original scene worked fine adapting to all curved walls. Will be possible to reduce the number of steps (clones) to half up to the cube added, without changing the angle, shape, etc ? Seems this option harder! Thanks again

Stairs on circular wall?
Hi Dr.Sassi!
I have to make several stairs attached to circular walls of different diameters. Right now, I'm using radial clone & steps. I got the right Y angle but I'm lost to adjust the number of steps with this angle. I'd like to have the same Y orientation but just less steps. If I change the Steps effector, the Y angle changes. Seems a basic question but right now stuck! ThanksWallCircularStairs01.c4d -
RE: Correct slider?
I'm using now the Loft with several curves in a separate piece on top. I think I can manage. Thanks anyway for your help! By the way, there are too many modelling tutorials. Any suggestions? Javier

RE: Correct slider?
Hi! I was trying with the Helix and found now a better way! Last night couldn't! See attached. Now trying to adjust the start & end openings.Maybe is better to use your option. Thanks!

RE: Correct slider?
Hi Dr.Sassi!
Thanks for the scene! Got one question; see the scene that fit's what I'm looking for enclosed. How can I make the loft be equal top to bottom? If you see the cubes added, the top is wider than the bottom.

Correct slider?
Hello Dr.Sassi!
I'm trying to model a slider. See the scene enclosed. Right now the bottom is narrower than the top. And I'd like to add a curved start so it connects with the square more or less. The slider will be below a square hole in the floor (the square line). Appreciate your help!
Thanks!
Javier
