Hello, thank you for the inquiry.
The new search engine is far more sensitive in search terms than the old Cineversity, and much more powerful.
Also, not all tutorials were brought over from the old Cineversity, as many tutorials are so old and outdated that the information is incorrect.

[FAQ] Why is CV-Toolbox not Working Correctly?
CV-Toolbox has been sunsetted
You can download the individual plugins on the Maxon Website: https://www.maxon.net/en/downloads
Please note that these plugins and scripts are not in current development and may not work in the latest versions of Cinema 4D.
==Archived==
There could be many reason CV-Toolbox could not be working correctly. Why is there a login screen on CV-Toolbox startup/the CV-Toolbox login doesn't work.
This error means that CV-Toolbox has been installed incorrectly, as the sign-in screen should not pop up.
This usually indicates that CV-Toolbox was installed in the wrong folder, or there is another instance of CV-Toolbox somewhere in your Cinema4D folder that is conflicting.
A solution: "Shutdown C4D and delete the CV-Toolbox folder that is created in the C4D root folder. Then launch Cinema and it should work."Why am I only seeing a couple plugins available?
This is caused by the MyMaxon account you are logged into through Cinema 4D does not have a Cineversity License attached to it. If you believe you should have Cineversity access, but don't, please check this thread: Why Is My Cineversity Subscription/License Not Working? Why is XYZ plugin/asset not appearing in CV-Toolbox?
This is because the plugin you are trying to use is not compatible with the version of Cinema 4D you are using. Please check the plugin's page on the old Cineversity website to see which versions the plugin or app you are trying to use is compatible. -
[FAQ] How to Change My Username
Why is my username so weird?
The system automatically generates a username for you. This is so if you wish to keep your real name private, you can do so.
However, sometimes these names are a little silly, and it makes sense to want to change them. How do I change my username?
- Go to the top-right bar, and click on the Letter at the top of the screen.
- Click on "Edit Profile"
- Scroll down, and on the left-hand side, you will see some options. Click on "Change Username"
- You can then enter the username you wish to use. Please note you will need to put in your MyMaxon password.
- If it is successful, you will be logged out, and then you will be able to log in with your new username.

[FAQ] Why Can't I Post in the Forums?
There are a few different reasons for this.
-
You are currently not logged in. The login information does expire after awhile, so you may have to refresh and relog into your account if you have been inactive for too long.
-
You are logged into an account that doesn't have Cineversity Access. If you accidently logged into the wrong account, log out and log in with the correct MyMaxon credentials.
-
This forum section is unlocked for non-registered users. That way we can help you, but if you cannot post in other sections, then you do not have a Cineversity license. Please check your mymaxon.net account for an active Cineversity license.
-
If you are part of an ORG account, you will need your supervisor to issue you a Cineversity license. It is the same protocol as issuing a license for any of Maxon's products.
-
If you believe you should have a Cineversity license, but it is not showing on your mymaxon.net, then you will need to open a support ticket with Maxon.
-
Tutorial Discussion forum section does not allow for the creation of new posts. Please refer to this post as to why: FAQ: Why Can't I Create a New Topic in Tutorial Discussions

There can be many different reasons why a video isn't working correctly. Here are a few common ones!
All videos don't appear to be working
This is a common issue with certain adblock extensions. We recommend trying to disable the adblocker for Cineversity first to see if it is an adblock problem.
Sometimes an overly strict firewall can cause this issue as well. You will need to enable embeds to be be viewed.Video is no longer available error

[FAQ] Why Can't I Create a New Topic in Tutorial Discussions?

If you do not see the tutorial you need help with then you will need to have Cineversity generate a new post for that tutorial. How to generate a new post:
- Click on the tutorial
- Press "Help" underneath the tutorial
- Wait a moment as the post is created. You will be re-directed to the new post.
If the "Help" button is broken, please report it in "Site Issues" section.
