I found a workaround. Skyobject with RS render tag and ID to 1. i used a cryptomatte, depth to 1. so everything was covered, except the sky. inverted the alpha and had a mask for the sky in AE.

Separate pass for Redshift Sky Object
I tried to export a separate pass for the RS Sky Object, but neither the RS Object Tag with an Object ID, nor a Puzzle Matte, nor a Background Object gave me a satisfying result. The sky isn't seen by the cryptomatte. And an alpha channel is also not produced. Using the override "force alpha to zero" on the Sky Object itself came closest to what I'm looking for – but unfortunately, it also breaks the beauty pass.
Would be nice if so can help me. THX

RE: Texturing a thicken object
Thanks for your answer. I know about these selections in the Thicken generator, but I also included a Bevel deformer. I should have mentioned this in the first place—sorry. I watched a tutorial about capsules and the possibility of selecting only the beveled part. I think I can go this way

Sweep Nurbs Offset
Hello!
Is there a way to Offset a SweepNurb, like a TrimPath in AfterEffects? (without using the spline wrap)
The exact problem:
I want to divide a SweepNurb into multiple Segments, connecting the the end of a segment, to the start of the next one, via expresso. In that way i can control the length of them quite easily, with just one controller. But i also want them to move along a closed path for more than 1 revolution. And SweepNurbs don't have the Offset option. Is there a capsule ore some other hint, that can help me?
