I understand how the file above works, but how would I get it to ripple inwards based on a bespoke shape?

RE: Footprint puddle ripple animation
Thank you,
I am trying to recreate a Jurassic Park style ripple effect within a footprint. Any large shoe print should work as reference.
In Jurassic park, the Trex impact causes ripples to happen from the outside to the centre.I've tried to get this using collision deformers, with a curve. I am getting something that would work as a result of an object being dropped into a liquid. But nothing shockwave wise. I will try you method above.

Footprint puddle ripple animation
Hello,
I am trying to figure out the best way to create a bespoke ripple in a footprint shaped puddle. The ripple is caused by an impact elsewhere in the scene, rather than a droplet of water, so the ripple needs to come from the edge of the footprint.
I have tried a few options, including using formulas and deformers with different fields.
I will continue to try different options, but advice and what everyone thinks are the best practices for this would be great to hear.

C4D Splash Art Direction
Hi I have been given this reference image for a splash animation.
I had planned to use x-particles, but it is quite complex. As you can see from the image, a character falls into a body of water, causing a splash, which needs to have the cavity and then secondary "bloop" of the cavity coming together.
What is the best way to achieve this in the most simple and art directable way? -
RE: Vector x Bevel issues
This is as a result of using the vector with extrusions

RE: Vector x Bevel issues
Twitch influencer wants 3D logo based on the above, with a different icon, and this font. Which only exists as a vector.

This is the level of detail the logo has.

RE: Vector x Bevel issues
Unfortunately, I am unable to share the logo as it is under NDA.
At the moment, I am using a remesher to take the geometry from the extruder, and add the extrusion and bevel once I have a mesh created.
Does that make sense? -

Examples of the tessellation issues. This is using NGons

Vector x Bevel issues
Question.
I am working on a 3D logo using a quite complicated logo vector from the brand itself.
I have a vector object that I need to make 3D. Easy. The issue is with adding the bevel elements. That is when I start to see the geometry issues.
I am using an Extrude object. Please let me know if there is a better alternative.
I have been using different tessellation and I am still not getting smooth geometry.

Thank you this was amazingly helpful

Mustard Squirt - Hotdog Animation
Hello,
I wanted to make an animation of mustard (or ketchup) being squirted onto a hotdog in the classic swirly way, from a bottle.
I made a start with this using spline wraps, but lacked any real expressive visual appeal, as the bottle needed to be right next to the hot dog.
I have tried using xParticles, but its very tricky. Is there a sim technique where the sauce could emit from the bottle and then follow a flow to look like the below.
Thanks in advance.

Rocket exhaust ideas
Hello,
I am looking for the best way to create a minimal design rocket ship exhaust trail.
Essentially, I have taken a vectorised logo and modelled it to although for faster 3D animation.Attached is an example.

The trails will also need to have outlines as the logo features cartoon outlines.
Thanks in advance

RE: Attach Object to Alembic Simulation animation
Never mind on the seam effect. The surface tool was perfect.
I will continue to look at the handle effect. But thank you again for your help. -
RE: Attach Object to Alembic Simulation animation
This is really interesting stuff.
The handles are solid ones, so I might need to look at how they can be solid using the same tool.In addition for the inflatable. In your opinion, what is the best way to achieve the thin seem effect that appears at the edge of pool inflatables? I feel like maybe an extrude, then use fields.
But I imagine this is something that needed to be added in the first stages of the process -
Attach Object to Alembic Simulation animation
Hello,
I have created a simulation inflation animation, which I have baked down to an alembic, and then added to a morph to give me control over the animation.
Now I have a new problem.
The asset that is inflating is a Pool Inflatable, and the client would like the animation to feature handles and the valve moving with the inflation.
Is there a way to bind them to the animation at this stage of the process? or will I need to remake everything? Thanks In advance

RE: Inflation reveal - Follow up
Thank you I understand. I need to have more control over the assets visuals. Simulations look good, but from running it through several times with minimal physics changes impact the look in a big way. I have not found a "reveal" animation that I am 100% sold by yet, and the references shared are most likely very curated.
The morph method you shared, will most likely be the best option for the control I require.
Thank you, and this process has definitely helped me develop my skill set, direction and understanding of the software and 3D in general.I will most likely have more questions soon.

Yes, sorry I did see them. Great thanks for the support.
