    Hello everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
Im trying to shade unmeshed, cloned splines.
I need to have some kind of selection/falloff to be able to drive a blend material and blending between shaders.
The usual suspects (vertex map/fields, distance node) doesnt seem to work on plain splines.
Any idea how to solve that?

      Hi RemoGambacciani,

A blend along a Spline is not given as a spline rendering, AFAIK.

I checked again to see if any Hair combination might doโ€ฆ but sorry, no luck.

As in the other thread, a Sweep and Vertex-Color Tag are needed.

Please add your request to render Spline Vertex maps here (Share Your Ideas):

        Thanks a lot @Dr-Sassi !
Thats what I thought...too bad...sweeping is not an option since we are talking about thousands of splines/hair in my scene ๐Ÿ˜„
I will request that....I'm sure im not the first one to ask for that ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Thanks for the reply, RemoGambacchiani. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, this was even asked a few times during the "Ask The Trainer" live show.

Anyway, please try to minimize the geometry and let Redshift tessellate the results, which might be fasterโ€ฆ

As an alternative, could a plane with a texture/alpha help here out?

          Cheers
