                Cyrilrueg,

Would you mind sending the relevant part of the project via Dropbox, Google, Adobe, Apple, or Wetransfer? (I don't touch other cloud services or abbreviated URLs (e.g., Tiny URL). Sorry about that.

I will have a look into it.

                Cheers

Thank you for the file and for using Wetransfer, cyrilrueg.

I will look into it this evening (this is my day off). I hope you are not on a tight deadline.

                    Cheers

Sorry for the delay, cyrilrueg, but I had some things to clear.

As promised, I took a closer look at your file.

Try this: Go to Render Settings, and check on the "Hair Render".

                      Screen Shot 2024-03-04 at 6.51.30 PM.png Screen Shot 2024-03-04 at 6.45.19 PM.png

Is this working for you? I compared all other parameters, copied the file into a new scene, and placed a new sphere with hair just to exclude anything I missed. In any case, the setting above is the only thing I could find, including the fact that a file can be corrupt sometimes (Based on hardware [drives] or other things). Hence, my deep search.

I hope that is working for you now as expected. If not, I will post your file, but I assumed you would like to have it as short as possible in the open.

                      Cheers
