      Hi Dutchbird,

      Use the Displacer under the Object. Load the Texture into the Shading Field.

      The Object needs to have a good resolution. Perhaps
      Main Menu> Mesh> Add> Subdivide [cogwheel!]
      Set up the Displacer as you would set up Displacement.
      Eventually, do this as well, the Attribute Manager> Mode> View Settings> Deformed Editing: on

      Then select the Object in question and use the
      Object Manager > Object> Current State To Object.
