Hi! I am stuck on this rather simple task in Cinema 4D and not sure how to get out:)

Basically I am trying to spin each cube of the below row of cubes, around its axis, together with each letter that sits on each one of them. I want each letter to spin together with each cube and not around its own axis as it's currently happening. To create the spin I animate the R: H of the Transform tab of the Voronoi Fracture. I am actually planning to have two letters on each cube one on the front side and one on the back and as they rotate the letters at the back get revealed. I have only done the first set like this and I even used a Null object but with no luck. Any help much appreciated!🔒 Log in to view 🔒 Log in to view 🔒 Log in to view

      Hi deal-cake,

      Please have a look here:

Switch the Sources to off if that is not needed.

Working with a project file is my preferred way, and please, more data, e.g., why do you use the Voronoi Fracture - what is the target? This helps more than images. Just to save you some time.

      All the best

Thanks for your reply! Your question made me think if I should just use the Fracture object instead and this seems to have solved the problem. I didn't realise there is the option to attach a project file. I will do that next time.

          Hi deal-cake,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, knowing more about the project's target helps.

Project files help a lot; at least I can "read" those more in-depth than images, as I have explored uncounted of them, and it is often a little hint that triggers perhaps an unexpected solution. I hope that makes sense.

Files are limited here to around 1MB.

Anyway, let me know if you have any questions.

My best wishes for your project

Apologies for late reply, I hadn't realised you had sent me a c4d file with the solution, even using Voronoi Fracture. It's exactly what I was looking for to do. Thanks very much!

Fracture object worked fine too, but it's good to have the solution with Voronoi, I will study it for learning purposes.

                Thanks for your feedback, deal-cake.

I'm glad it is useful for you.

Let me know if there is something else. Please for new themes, a new thread.

                Enjoy your weekend
