      Hi!
Since the last update, I have noticed the default material projection is spherical, instead of UVW mapping. Can I change the default somehow?

      Thanks in advance
      Simon

        Hi Simon,

I have checked it, and it has worked so far for me.

For me, Spherical is only applied if the object has no UV data.

Since you have a different result, all I can offer is to check out a file that you share. (Smaller than 1MB, and ".c4d" works here as a direct attachment)
Just the one object that shows Sphereical as projection when the material is applied.

        Cheers

Hi and thanks again for your help. Here is an object that is from a CAD file, imported as a .stp into C4D. IDK if its to do with the polygon arrangement, Ive never had this before. When you drop or apply a material, its always spherical projection by default. Well on my machine, anyway.
          Cheers, Simon

Thank you very much for the file, Simon.

            Here is your file back.

            CV2024_drs_24_TXuv_01.c4d

Drag the Material on it. It should work fine now.
It was missing the UV Tag.

I dragged the Material on it, then went to the Object Manager> Tag> Generate UV W Coordinates.

In the UV editor layout, all UV polygons were selected, and then in the lower left, UV Manager> Automatic> Cubic> Apply.

I checked the Material again, and it worked.

Let me know if you have any problems.

            All the best
