    Hi Dr Sassi,

I've got some dynamic cloned spheres and trying to connect them with a string using a tracer.

It seems to work but when I hit play the tracer doesn't follow along with the spheres movement.

I tried caching and baking the spheres as alembic and adding the tracer, it follows but the points are off, they no longer connect to the center of the spheres, same thing if I put the cloner in a connect object.

I'm sure I've used a tracer for this kind of thing before, but I cant figure out where I've gone wrong.

Here's my file anyway, Im sure you'll figure it out straight away

      Hi Maverick Mongoose,

Sorry, for security reasons, I touch only Dropbox, Wetransfer, Apple, Adobe, and Google, (and no Tiny-urls).

      Please have a look here:
It is just a Matrix between, set to Object mode and Axis.

I hope it answers the question.

      All the best

Thank you very much, Maverick Mongoose.

          Here is your file back.

Please cache it (The Cloner), to avoid the one frame delay that it otherwise has.

I have added two options to create this Tracer Circle. They are indicated by different label colors, just in case.

Thanks for not minding my security concerns, but each year after my IT Security Training, I'm slightly more neurotic. 😉 Since I share a lot, I have to keep safe here.

          Cheers

Perfect! I think I need to make more use off the Inheritance Effector for now on, thanks for that!

              Thanks for the feedback, MaverickMongoose.

Please keep in mind that the Inheritance Effector is also a perfect filter to stop or inherit any of the three parameter "PSR" (Parameter> Transform)

              Have a great weekend.

Interesting, I think it's going to become something I use a lot!

                  Thank you very much, MaverickMongoose.

Yes, it has been one of my favorite Effectors for a long time.

                  Have a great Sunday
