Hi resort-sand,
Thanks for the update. The Property Transfer Manager can work with local coordinates, but the object axis needs to be oriented in a matching way and be object-based. In other words, all points relate to the object axis. If the Object axis is not set up comparably, the local transfer will not work in a matching way.
When I read Rotomotion and similar geo, may I assume that the object is textured and the texture is the same on both, or at least would if applied?
If so, a grayscale image could store the selection inside the Point Selection applied via Shader Field—just a thought.
Excuse my curiosity here: What I miss, not having seen the setup, is that you have the geos; what is the obstacle to not using the data to match their positions, etc?
As usual, having a file here, even just a proxy resembling the problem, I might support you in a better way. (If it is over. 1MB, it won't take thec4d file, then please use Dropbox, Google, Apple, Adobe, Wetransfer as cloud service only, no tiny-URL, for security reasons, thank you)
My best wishes for the project
