Typically, an Effector is dragged into the Text Object's " Word " field, which affects one word at a time. Since that is procedural, a single access to a word needs more care.

If the target is to have more control over the position and rotation of each word, this would be the option.
If that is the idea, this is the most straightforward setup I can think of.

If more is needed, the setup from the other thread needs to be copied and adjusted, which I have done here.
Pulling a single word out is a similar approach, but you want it all simultaneously, so it needs several copies of that setup. With the sentence from above eight.

Depending on the format, you can swap the Z with the Y axis (+ or -) during the Import.
This should work. I have no data on what format you use to write it from Revit.

If you use FBX, you can define the vertical axis during Import. Since I do not know what you have, you could try Z, perhaps.

Centering the Axis to the Parent works as it should, but not in combination with the "Enable Axis Modification" active. Yes, it moves the whole object as well. But the undo leaves the Axis in this setting at the Parent's location while the points go back, which sounds like what I understand about your request.

The Axis of an object is the "reference" of all points for that object. This means that they are local positions, not global ones. With this, animations are stored, or values are taken in many ways.

The function you need would not take of those cases.

My tip would be to use the Enable Axis function, then use snapping and move the Axis to the Parent. Disable snapping after it. (Also, here, if, for example, Point Level Animation is applied, then the whole object will move.

This brings me to the alternative: Use a Null object under the Parernt, reset the PSR, and then place the polygon object under that new Null object. This method leaves all animations intact and works without problems.

Your question is different. If I understand correctly, you would just like the Vertex map data as a mask.

Here is an example. Render the file. Then go to the Render Settings and use the Overwrite Material. Render again.

I have set up a material that only shows the Vertex map. The material will show any Vertex map with the same name in the material entry.

A solid handle is not an option to apply on an Alembic ballon simulation, as the handle would influence the initial results before the baking into Alembic.

Yes, I explored it last night and even put it upside down (who knows? It's one of my mantras). I de-distored it in several ways to see if someone had done something to it, but with mostly no geometry in it, it's hard to tell.

I have shot with drones and the lens distortion grid. I always got solid results with Cinema 4D, but I had at least ten seconds each time, with more movement before and after the center content. I typically do not touch stock footage for various reasons, and your example added one more to it; thank you!

Yes, the first file was done with Ae, and the second was an older version of Syntheyes (I rarely used it since I get most of my shots done with Cinema 4D). But yes, Syntheyes rocks (I took a dozen ten-part courses about it over the years at FXPHD and was always amazed at what Victor Wolansky could pull off with it, and he pretty much always started with the impossible shot.)
In the past 25 years, I have worked with many trackers and am curious about where we will go next.

To my understanding, that is not how IES Profiles work.

(If you must, I would do this: However, set the light source you have in the standard scale. If you scale the whole scene by 10 then the Intensity might match the needed intensity if set a 100 times higher. How that shows up as hot specular might be scene dependent! Please test this while rendering and then A/B both results, they differ a little bit, but given that we have no 100% perfect duplication of natural materials either, that might be OK. Except you intorduce any natural influences, e.g., RS Environment, that will get tricky very quickly. This is just a workaround, not suggested.)

Light fixtures are measured in real-world units, and the light is measured accordingly.
For any no-parallel light, here spreading wider in the distance, the intensity of light works as the inverse power of two; as the illuminated area grows in two dimensions, the distance does not.

From my point of view, it is not always to just take the object's (the fixtures) axis, as diffuse lights would have their "point-light" equivalent way behind them. This is often a more extended discussion, especially on "Set" when more extensive diffuse sources are used. In other words, there are a lot of opinions, and the web is undoubtedly the wealthiest resource for that wide variety of quality.

The whole idea of IES Profiles is centered around eliminating the guesswork. Putting it into a different scale (dimension) would require adjusting the intensity of the whole source, but as some light fixtures work with diffusion (filter or bounce) in the mix with direct light, it is not clear to me how to adjust this, if perfect results are needd. After all, light needs the same precision in the surface material setup, as mentioned. This is another question of how close those systems can be to following real-world scenarios.

Of course, no problem. My hope is always that exploration leads to a better long-term memory of the findings 😉 But I'm happy to share whatever is needed and wanted.

The main problem is that clones have a single channel for colors, not two or more.
Your request is a two-channel effect. Hence, we need a way to share the two independent pieces of information with the Material.

Image information can be used to blend between two Cloner child objects. That works on an object level but not on the attached node-based Material.
The process is simple. The Cloner child objects (Clones) can blend where they have matching parameters, which can be UserData (e.g., a single channel, e.g., Color is not blended).
This means an Effector or field can share information (Modify Clone). The example file below shows a plain Effector. Parameter> Others: Modify Clone. Use the slider to see the effect.

Since the second channel is gray-values 0-1, that can be done with a single User Data entry.

This can also be done with User Data. Compare the file from above (v3). One User Data is 0%, and the other is 100%. The Modify Clone results in a 0-100% value, which is equal to the value of the Modify Clone.

The Modify Clone can be driven by a Texture (e.g., Shader Effector or Shader Field in an Effector [like Plain Effector])

So we can move the information along, and the user data Node can read it. The key here is that both User Data entries need to be the same, name-wise.

Inside the Material, the single channel for gray values from the UserData can be requested via Scalar user Data. Click on the node, and the parameter tab will allow you to enter the user Data's name.

The other Colordata (RGB) is done similarly, with a User Data node set to MoGraph> Color.

The two are connected in a Color Correction Node, and the Gravalues "run" the Saturation values.

As mentioned above, the Shader Effector and Shader Field provide a single RGB value to each Clone. A common misconception is that the Shader Effector would texture "Images" to the clones. In fact, just one Color is given for the whole.

Please let me know if that works for you. Yes, it is a wild mix of many little techniques, so please ask if something is not clear.

There are four main options to do it.

I have called them Object, Child Constrain, and Weight here, and I'm sure there are a dozen other names available.
The key idea here is, first of all, what fits well into your comfort zone.
I think there is no "best practice" from someone else; it must fit your idea of working. The more you explore, the more options might appear to do the same thing (result-wise). Best practice is, from my point of view, subjective. If one knows only one option, then this is their best practice?

The question is, how do you find what fits?

There is often a split between rigging and animating in Character Animation, especially in studio setups. The one rigging things should do anything that keeps the animator focused on the art of expression, not the art of selecting and moving.

However, if you need the rig only for a single short take, optimizing it would be a waste of time. Therefore, the rigging should be more comfortable.

If the parts of the character (including mechanical) are not final, and the art director or client likes to change things, a very integrated rig might be an obstacle. If the exchange is easy, joints and character are not one large hierarchy, and they have many dependencies on each other (both ways), then the rig with the easiest way to exchange parts will win.
If your character has to move along a larger pipeline or to different apps, then simplicity and standard tools are key.

Yes, I do not tell you what to do or what is best, as this would go against the idea of finding what is best for you and in which circumstances.
You will find a favorite among the four standards and perhaps even mix a new one. I'm sure you will have minimal problems finding what is needed, and then it is yours, not someone else's favorite.

(Of course, Joints have some advantages over other skeleton hierarchies.)

One tip: Always follow the information. With rigs, the Axis of an object might be important to place wisely.

Even Hair is easy to set up, it can go relatively deep, and yes, the application is mostly parameter-driven when one excludes the Styling tools. In other words, the number of parameters and tabs doesn't support a lot of intuitive handling; what is possible needs to be known.
