It sounds like saving a right mouse click when moving it to a new "Group". But on the other hand, it might not be that simple.

There is surely a possibility, but I doubt if that makes sense, as that script would need to constantly run and check every single active item after each click if there was a change of its parent. It doesn't sound like something that would improv the overall performance, perhaps the simple click is more effective. Besides, I do not know how that will work if the Take System uses different settings, as one can overwrite the Layer settings. This will be a huge effort to sort this out, especially with XRef in use.

• You can just click on the parent color chip of the Layer and "paint" it down to the new object.

• Right mouse click to apply a new or existing layer.

• SelectSelect as many group members as possible and drag those at once to the Layer you would like to apply to (Select children work great with this).

Here is how I think it should work (If I want to suggest this to the developers: Drag the object to the parent layer and let go while it takes the Layer info from the parent. Again, I have no idea how that will get synced with the Take System or when XRef is used.

What is the RS-Log telling you?

When you grow from 0% (Sweep), you start with zero points; anything else changes. Sometimes each frame. Motion Blur can't produce anything useful when the points change.

Please explore this file:

Also, if you use the Connect object, if there is animation, the Weld option can sabotage the Motion blur, as it changes the point structure.

Yes, there are post-production ways. Thanks for pointing this out.

As a side note: Back when Twixter (RevisionFX) was The way to go, the suggested use was that already slowed-down footage from the camera resulted in even better quality when "time-stretched" in post. Combining these two might be something to keep in mind.

It will support similar requests, but I have to mention that we do not copy from other apps. If one likes to work with Modo, then Modo is the app to use. None of the major 3D apps go shopping by the other vendor. I just do some expectation management here.

Otherwise, we end up emulating Maya, 3DMax, Houdini, etc, which is not the target. I assume other apps have the same idea about their architecture and strategy.

There are many options to combine things that can cause situations that are difficult to solve automatically in 3D setups.

Since you wrote that you are not in love with weighting, even though you did a great job here weighting it, the solution would be, as shown in the video from the website, that the Bevel would be part of the model and is already driven by the overall weighting. With this, there is no sudden "pop-in" at one specific angle of the Bevel added geometry or the flip when the edge changes 90º.

When the MG Voronoi Fracture object is made editable, the previously available information is not included in the Polygon objects. The Random Effector does not reproduce this in Deformer mode.

Perhaps explore if a single Spline between two "ports" might give you more options. You can also set up single splines, merge them into one, and explore the segment options of the catenary spline modifier.
