Based on your initial question, I have put some notes into a little PDF, which I would call a rough draft, and I will expand on it. I hope it can grow enough to become a chapter in a book.

My typical workflow here is to recreate the question and answer from that, not from memory or with a long list of questions.

That is a similar problem that sRGB or REC 709 has; all values above 100% are tone-mapped to fit into 100%. A part of the 0-100% is squeezed to enable that.

Typically, why did my sRGB comment come up? Tone Mapping is not the only part; there is a Gamut Compression from ACEScg to sRGB. This means color values are moved. Both create a color shift. (The core reason why people have Logo Colors.)

When both are applied, the changes can be heavy.

Yes, the Open EXR, including the half-float part, should not be affected.

In the ACES documentation, the 32bit/float/channel is the format for any storage and external exchange in AP-0 (the largest colorspace). ACEScg came later and is a format that should be used only internally, but it might show limitations in some cases. Hence, I typically do not use it in my work. But yes, it is widely used, based on many applications that can use the AP-1 colorspace but not the AP-0. I created the graphic for the documentation to show that. Cinema projectors, if newer, can reproduce already REC 2020.

It shows clearly how many green tones, and a stripe between red and blue is excluded in AP-1.

The 16bit/float/channel has limitations, even without the implementation limitations in C4D currently (in dynamic and color) but typically can hold the stops of dynamic that practical cameras have. However, many data-based AOVs need 32bit/float/channel.

As a side note, ACEScg has no Color Space flag (insde the file) requirement based on ACES papers. The ACES itself in 32bit/float/channel has. If open an ACEScg, but sadly also ACES in some external apps, the Color space has to be set manually (not converted!) I wrote to Adobe about that for many years, but it has not been solved completely. However, the result can be different colors.

I have tried all render settings, and the results are on average the same, or checked off – slower. But after a while of running tests, things become more equal again.

Since you get differnt results, it must be based on hard ware configurations.

The joints, as mentioned, were a sketch or draft, aka quick 'n' dirty. Yes, that would require more work to make something production-ready.
Yes, the part would need a joint, and IK has dynamics, but I get it: you need something fast.

So, let's try the simplest way, but it takes some steps.

First, a Mesh 'Cage" must be produced. This " cage " must be cached as the soft body.

Now, it can run the detailed object.
With some little support from another deformer, you can increase the visuals of the floor impact.

I left all the parts in the file. The Rose was under the Volume object, to produce the cage.

That was two years ago; I wonder why you have to endure this even with the current version; it should be handled by now.
In any case, sorry for your problems. If the company doesn't update their tablet driver, I'm not sure what else to tell. Change the brand perhaps? I swapped out one company here, and since then I am at peace. (But I did not had the one from above)

Please check with tech support, if there is anything that is not based on the Tablet producer to create. Any problems in this way (tech/code-based) must be handled there. Thank you.

I would say that the Egg is close to the perfect shape of the Sphere and, even in the lowest setting, finds good coverage. Since this might be a point of debate, I would like to point to a case that shows how it works with visible changes.

Now, the Documentation needs to be quoted to make the point:
"If set to 0, recessed indentations or recesses or holes will not be included in the collision calculation, but only a single "rubber skin" will be placed around the object…"

The Convex Hull is unlike a Tesselation algorithm that changes with the surface angle, like Adaptive in Spline interpolation.

For example, if you have a hole in the Egg, changes will appear.

That is not a problem; it is expected and wanted behavior.

The pole defines the orientation of the virtual disc, like the dark green ones mentioned above in the manual.
This disc is the key to solving the IK. Otherwise, the joints would just randomly move around in space.

My suggestion to move it up and down was to learn its influence on the solved IK chain.
The Pole, as mentioned, needs to be placed properly to make things work in a stable way.
