If it was internally cached, the file size must be much larger just to give you an indicator.
If cached, the results will be the same, AFAIK; otherwise, we would have many posts here from render farm results and jumping frames.

Caching cloth, to my understanding, is point-based; there is no derivation.
If you would like to test this, write out an Alembic file and load it into the Cached file as a "reference." It is highly unlikely that both change in the same way.

Since it is easily imaginable that I do not have the two setups that cause your trouble, please get a second opinion on that, meaning get in touch with Maxon's tech support at

Typical, that would be N~H, but that doesn't toggle it back to a previous state. I'm not sure what else I could suggest (I also tried to use the Python Script Log to get something, but that is not working either)

Perhaps adding the Editor View> Display menu to the interface might make it a little bit easier.

I have no idea if suggesting tech support will help here.

That seems to be a very plausible reason.

Try this: save the file with the problem and use the
File> Save Project with Assets. This typically gives you an "Alert" to find missing Assets.
Of course, the RS Asset Manager has under
File> Relink Assets is the option to find the Assets and create the correct pathway.

Yes, if you can define a Geo-based Matrix that works for you, that is perfect.
In the past, I suggested using as many polygon objects as needed to create this Matrix (see below), which prevents the simple ID sequence from being broken. You can adjust each clone based on that single polygon (or use groupsas in the scene you have shared).

However, since your example was a demo and you mentioned there is no way to make it in one, I left this out; I expected your project setup to be more complex. Hence, my Bathroom Tile is a "working title," which can quickly become quite complex.

Anyway, you have what you need, great.

Going by your posts, you might know all of that, but since I write in a forum, please let me add this:

You can use the Force inside the Riged Body tag or just use Force> Friction and perhaps fine-tune it locally with Fields.

I'm sure you use camera and editing options to create a perfect illusion anyway.

The best way to learn materials is to write down all the channels of the material you want to learn on a little card, like Reflection or Diffuse.
Whenever you have a moment, like waiting for something, pick any object around you and analyze it based on that list.
This sound may be very low-tech; however, one can't simulate what is unknown. After a while, this will give you a great command.
Because with this little drill, you have developed "an eye" for the quality of it.

(I have written a whole book with those things, but I have to work on illustrations. I hope it will not take much longer.)

If images or video are projected on these three parts, while the middle material contains both resources, the illusion should work nicely.

This is a little bit tricky.

Your linear cutting of the object allows for a straightforward workflow.
First I set the gaps to something smaller (5cm instead of 10cm)

Then I took the orientation of the related Matrix for a Standard Render Camera, so it faces the "cuts" perpendicular or, in other words, as straight stripes. This means the camera needs to be far away and has a long focal length. I rendered this out an Emmision only.
I then used the standard camera with a standard material (meaning I was not in Redshift then) to set up a simple Camera Map.

This allows me to project the image back to the object in any resolution.

I reset the gap back to 10 cm, and in a Color Vertex Tag, I used the Color shader to use the Camera Map Material tag. This sets all points (Vertext) to the needed color.

Back to Redshift, a material with a simple Vertex node, works now.

My tip is to store it as Alembic.

Hi champion-setting,

I set up some joints, animated those, and then used the PoseMorph with the Magnet. I felt all settings were the same as when using the Magnet, except I went from Edit to Animate afterwards.

Let me know if that causes also problems.

You could also explore a copy of the model and use it as an external source for the Magnet/Meshwork.
